According to the NHS guide lines a 150ml glass of 100% unsweetened orange juice (POJ), vegetable juice or smoothie (not very much) counts as just one of your five a day. That means that if you have 2 portions it still only counts as one of your five a day! So say you have a glass of POJ for breakfast, a fruit smoothie for lunch and then a veg drink at teatime the total intake is still one of your five a day! This is because you are not getting all the fibre out of the fruit or veg but that fructose is actually doing damage! This 200ml of OJ contains 4.5 cubes of sugar! Its also contains 33% more than is recommended as a serving!
